This painting is a portal into a reader’s mind, into the worlds we see in our imaginations when we immerse ourselves in a story. It was inspired by my love of fantasy books and the way I envision many of my favorite worlds, including Fourth Wing, ACOTAR, Throne of Glass, Crescent City, Quicksilver, Harry Potter, and Narnia. I read fantasy to escape from the world when it feels hopeless and daunting. This painting is full of magic and hidden symbolism that formed over the two months it took me to paint it.
The original painting was made using acrylic paints on a large canvas. Because this painting has so many small details, I have added an extra large sized print (that is not available for any of my other prints). It is in this large size that you can truly take in all the details and experience the print similarly to the original piece.
